Profile

I am a 20 year old 3D artist who has recently graduated from Media Design School with a Graduate Diploma of Game Development. 3D art is my passion, and has been ever since my childhood, when I first picked up the tools for modding video games and began building my own levels. I am suited to game art because I am creative and flexible, I work hard, I am a fast learner, and I get enjoyment from the process of turning ideas into assets, from which a video game can be formed. I have a wide 3D skill set that can be applied across all stages of the pipeline, not only with video game production but across all 3D disciplines.

Half Life 2 Mod - Mirror's Edge Source (2008 - 2009)

Early experience with modding tools.
Developed a self taught 3D skill set.
Released as a free mod.


Student Game - PowerNode - (August 2010 - September 2010)

Project manger / Game design lead / Lead artist


Tasked with managing a small team with a short five week turnover.
Developed the original idea from a board game which was pitched to the class.
Wrote a Game Design Document in preparation for production.
Using a custom made engine, developed a complete game from the ground up in five weeks.
Assigned tasks and managed milestone deadlines for those tasks.
Asset management, as well as finding solutions to technical limitations within the engine.


Student Game - Discord - (February 2011 - July 2011

Lead Artist


Final game production while at Media Design School.
Developed the visual style for the project.
Wrote a 150 page design document with all necessary detail to prepare for production (including a 40 page asset list).
Asset management, using clear formatting and naming conventions to simplify the asset pipeline.
Scheduled tasks and managed sprint planning for team-members to meet milestones.
